What is the difference between JGS1, JGS2 and JGS3 quartz?

JGS1 is synthetic fused silica with high deep-UV transmission (about 185–2500 nm) for UV optics and lasers. JGS2 is flame-fused quartz transmitting roughly 220–2500 nm, a cost-effective choice for UV lamps and sight windows. JGS3 is electrically fused quartz with good infrared transmission up to about 3500 nm.

What temperature can fused quartz tubes withstand?

Transparent fused quartz is typically used continuously up to about 1100 °C and for short periods up to about 1300 °C. Its softening point is around 1730 °C and its very low thermal expansion gives excellent thermal-shock resistance.

Can you manufacture quartz parts from my drawing?

Yes. We cut, drill, slot, grind, polish, bend, weld and seal quartz to customer drawings in PDF, DWG or STEP format, including flanges, multi-bore flow tubes, wafer boats, cuvettes and microplates.

What is the minimum order quantity?

Many standard items and prototypes can be ordered from 1 to 5 pieces. Volume pricing and lead time are confirmed after drawing review.

How is quality controlled?

Every batch is annealed to relieve internal stress, checked on a polarization stress tester, and inspected for dimensions and surface quality before packing. Our factory has passed an onsite assessment by SGS Group.

How are fragile quartz products packed for export?

Parts are individually wrapped, cushioned with foam and shipped in reinforced cartons or wooden cases suitable for air, sea and express freight.
